If prone to allergic reaction of have especially sensitive skin, it is advisable to have a patch test 24 hours before your treatment.
Shave or use depilatory cream to remove unwanted body hair at least 24 hours prior to treatment.
On the day, shower but do not apply perfume, body oils or moisturizer to skin (unless you have very dry skin) as these products may create a barrier.
Wear dark, loose clothing (preferably cotton) to and from your treatment to avoid interference with the tan while developing and staining on clothing. Dark coloured flip flops are also advisable.
DO NOT WEAR TIGHT FITTING JEANS, SHORTS, SHOES OR LIGHT SYNTHETIC FABRICS.
Take with you hair tie, lip balm, black swim suit or cotton underwear (if required), loose dark shoes, an umbrella (just in case of bad weather) and a large dark towel as precaution for your car seat.
Remove make-up and deodorant with wet wipes.
Tie hair up, away from face and neck and cover with a hair cap.
Remove contact lenses, clothing shoes and jewelry and change into your swimsuit, personal underwear or the disposable underwear provided.
Barrier cream will be applied to hands, elbows, knees, and feet (also the hair line if necessary) by the technician.
Sticky feet pads are available to apply to the soles of your feet if necessary.
For the short period that your face is sprayed, eyes should be closed and inhalation should be avoided.
Avoid activities that may cause sweating and contact with water which could result in lines or uneven tanning.
Cover bedding with dark sheets if you plan to allow your tan to develop overnight (will wash off natural fibres).
At least 8 hours after application, have a cool shower using a non-abrasive light shower gel.
When drying, remember to pat not rub your skin and apply a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated.
Your own skin tone will determine the depth of colour achieved by your treatment. The treatment must remain on the skin for a minimum of 4-8 hours to allow development.
Remember to moisturize twice a day and start to exfoliate gently after 3 days to help tan fade naturally.
To prolong the life of your tan avoid contact with chlorine, excessive sweating.
Sun screen should be worn daily as your spray tan does not contain sun protection.
NB: the use of some face masks, anti aging or acne products, hair removal creams and plasters can affect the result of your treatment.
